The last girl that called me cute broke my poor widdle heart.

Was out the sunday before xmas, met this girl I've known for a few months from college, really fancied her etc.
She comes up to me in club, all chat and smiles, neither of us were drinking so we ditched our respective groupsd and hung out in the VIP lounge and chatted for close to two hours sipping our 7up.

I invite her and one of her mates back to a party, we go back again all chat anf flirt, she calls me cute, all chat and flirt, I think I'm getting no where, giving her all the subtle singals that I like her, tell her I think she's an amazing person etc.

An hour later she taps me on the shoulder, I turn and she kisses me, I kiss her back, rest of the night we just chat, hold hands be involved witht he group.

I walk her home, she asks me to come up to her flat, I agree.
Chatting in living room for an hour or so, Iit's like 6o'clock now she asks me if I wanna kipp in her room (two beds) because my house is a mile away and it's freezing.
I go in, lay on her bed, we kiss and cuddle and stuff, no hanky panky (both of us are fairly strong christians) spend one of the best nights of my life with an amazing girl.

look at the clock realise it's quater to one, tell her I have to go get changed for work in half an hour, she says something like "Sean, you're the nicest guy I've met in years, promise me that we can do this again" I agree whole heartidly and leave after yet more kissing and cuddles.

I go home happy as a pig in sh*t and go to work.
Text her for a few days (she's gone home form college at this stage) and then like four days of "I can't wait to see you again" and so on she drops the bombshell...

"You're an amazing guy and I really like you, butI'm just out of a relationship and I don't think I'm ready for another, but I think be could be really great friends"

I dunno why but I made out like I was fine with it and let her think I'm glad she told be before we went out again and I got too into her blah blah blah...

Truth be told I hate being around her now because I know she doesn't feel the same way I do, But I hate it even more when I'm not with her, I think about he constantly... And I know this is really really infantile and probably just a silly college infatuation but it ****ing hurt me like hell!

Happened me before..Only the girl i was seeing never actually gave me that line. just gradually put me in the friend zone after a week or two of lots of interest from her manly I did'nt really like her that much to start with . Three months later she started seeing this other dude, it broke my heart lol
She still after 2 years wants to be mates. serious not a good idea being mates with a girl you like...Will always end in tears :eek:

Maybe if a person is not good-looking, the girl has to be honest and of course will not use this word "handsome" but instead a better choice will be "cute". When a girl says that to you, it doesn't always mean she likes you but maybe it is a complements or remarks only.

could mean anything. depends on the context. if its just out of the blue, and the girl is irish, it probably means she thinks your nice, in a more platonic way. if she said it to her friends, then more likely not platonic e.g. "i think that guy is cute" = "i fancy that guy". Also, in the US it generally has more non-platonic meanings.

So I think that a girl would call a guy, who she is attracted to, either gorgeous, sexy, or cute, depending on his type of face!

If she says:

"your cute but...."

or if she says it very casually like "ah arent ya cute"

then it means "I don't fancy you".
