not much to do in roscommon town to be fair. but its alot nicer than the town 20/30 mins on yer way to dublin lol. for a team that wins feck all, and frustrating to watch at times we hav the best supporters in the gaa, minor replay proved that. up the rossies.

mayo people are great, particularily from ballina. donegal loads to do and see, plenty of great spots to go at night, and the women run a close race with the derry belles for best looking women. accents can be really bad at times especially around the boarder areas. but in fairness great place,

what a day that was. my first all ireland. could not believe how many rossies there were, every where you looked there was a whole herd of hem. ah had mayo won there would have been greater craic in dublin, sure we could have all shared the journey home to the west. although we would HAVE to have crossed the shannon in athlone, have to. rub nose in the westmeath casuals.

Galway all the way, been going to Galway city since I where a nip my aunt used to live there. It's still one of my favourite citys in the world, it's nice and compact, easy to get around full to the brim with pubs, looks good and there's always something happening.

    best is dublin

id HATE to live anywhere else at the moment, im 22 and would be bored senseless! :)

God you must be either unimaginative/ignorant/not well travelled around the country. Loads of stuff to do outside the overpriced, pretentious town that is Dublin.

For me it's Mayo (I'm biased in that I'm from there). It's got loads of islands and you never know we might even win Sam at some stage (note if we do county will not be accesible for ~6 months due to partying)
Galway always liked it as a city: compact, safe, fun, always something happening (compared to Limerick a city of equal size)
Kerry great scenery and a lot cool little places to visit.
Roscommon mainly for the people. There all 100% crazy. It's brilliant you're never bored once you've got a Rossie around

time to get out of the city mate.

ah ye people like shane curran of roscommon goalkeeper fame, lets have more of that, ah sure ya the rossies will be heading over to join ye in wesport, castlebar, ballina etc when sam goes to mayo. ah to be fair ye mayo boys have got some characters.

galway is the best place to be in august.week after week ya got the arts festival, and the galway races and nearly always sunny for them. salthill beach on a sunny day or after the connaught final in pearse stadium is a classic. the main street, next to eyre sq is fantastic that week, hard to get into pubs due to crowd, but ya be on the street sipping a pint form one pub and strolling into the one next door for another. and most important of all.... ya dont have to fear people coming over to ya, they only want to have a chat and a laugh, damn all fighting.decent buskers to be seen also. and everything is so laid back

carrick on shannon (leitrim) another great spot for drinking, fishing, scenery, nice pleasant town

ah ye boys and girls discover the weshht

the last chap on dublin, reminds me of that poem by donacha mac donnacha "dublin made me", it goes on about his views of the country folk and everything non dublin is crap, yet barely mentions what was so good about dublin in the first place (the poem that is, dublin is a grand city, but there are things to do in other places, shhhhhhh keep it unsoilt)

Ever notice the Cork accent is the same as the Jamacin one?

Except in Jamacia they finish each sentence with "man" but in Cork its "boy". lol
