    Cork has the best accent.

And the worst - you're up, Donegal!

Oh dear. That isn't an accent you have in Cork, it's an affliction. :D

    Donegal has everything.

End of debate. Lock this thread now.

Just kidding (though its actually true, can't think of the source at the moment though), Donegals a lovely county.

No need to mention the corrupt Gardaí either ;)

Ah come off it. You all know it's got to be Derry. ;)

Kerry, Clare and Wicklow if I didn't need to work. But since I do, Dublin. I've never enjoyed Cork as a city, but West Cork is great country. Galway is nice but too small. I would live in Belfast too, if a city outside of the Republic counts in a poll on the most liked county.

Wexford, because it has Hook Head - my most favourite place in the country.

I second Wexford don't forget Curracloe beach! I often stayed at Hook Lighthouse my uncle was keeper there. I also like Cork for the craic, people who say they don't like Cork are jealous (I'm not from Cork btw).

Port na Blagh used to be lovely but I haven't been there since the 1970's. Probably all built up now?

In fairness, theres no 'rebel' spirit there that isn't present in any other county in Ireland.

Unless you mean theres a greater fanbase of the IRA present in Cork...in which case...not something to be proud of...

There's Republican Nationalists aswell as hardcore Republicans

Sadly, yes. Its ridiculous the amount of holidays home that have sprung up there.

    Galway's a great place.

Haven't spent much time in Cork.

Dublin's a useful place to live, being our biggest city, but I don't think it has much character.

Did I forget to mention I live in Wicklow? Cos of after last week ya know? Although I swear to God, I will buy a Carlow jersey when either:

    1) I come into some more money or

    2) I actually see one when I have this money

Oh, another place for me is Waterford. Used to go to Ardmore, and I loved it

    Roscommon.........

Centrally located ----> 30 mins to Athlone
1 hour to Galway, Sligo, Mullingar
1 hour 45 mins to Dublin

    ...from Roscommon town that is

Reasonably priced housing (compared to rest of country)
    Small population for big county

This is true, at the age I am I'd quickly get sick of anywhere smaller than Dublin for a prolonged period.
Seeing the same people, in the same places day in day out would get to me quite quickly, I see a lot of people I know on nights out up here sure enough, but I can only imagine how much worse it is in smaller towns/cities around the country.

I thought about moving to Cork or Galway for a few years for college but the sheer fact that the cities are a lot smaller in comparison to Dublin has pretty much put me off that idea. Sure enough the cost of living may be smaller, but I need some level of diversity and I don't think anywhere apart from Dublin can provide that to any great extent.
