Difficulties DE-registering from AnotherFriend?

    Hi,

In December, I registered for one month at an online dating service called "AnotherFriend".
After 2 weeks, I knew it wasn't for me and have sent 3 emails to the given address on the site so I could cancel credit card payments.

I received no response for any of the emails I sent them and today was charged the monthly fee.

I have already sent a complaint to them and am awaiting their reply.

While I was chatting to people on the site though, 4 of them did mention that they had tried to de-register in the past but at the end they just gave up and continued paying (people have busy lives and don't have time to chase up).

At the time I didn't take notice of it but now I do since I have been charged for a service I am no longer interested in using!

The question is: Has this happened to other people as well?
A few years back, I brought a scam to the attention of WatchDog N.I (when will this show ever get here in the Republic??) and won my case: I am ready for another battle but need to gather more evidence (this means people who have proof that they requested cancellation).

So sick of getting ripped off at every corner!!!

    Thanks for your replies

Emm, you appear to be to new to this so i wont be harsh. This doesnt have any business being in here. Maybe try either the consumer issues or i.t. forums. Personal Issues is for more serious issues

No, this website is not a support forum for other dating sites.
