why is that place always packed,when a the people of galway are well educated and should know better

It's packed full of farmers out for a rake of pints of Guinness, followed by a snack box and bit of an auld foight!
I've never actually set foot in the place before, just guessing...

You'd be right, I guess everyone goes there because they know that is where everyone they know will be, I know thats why I go there and you always have a good night when your friends are out and you know people! The smell is rough though

Does it still smell yet? I was there just after the smoke ban, smell was absolutely horrendous. Had to leave.

On topic haven't been in there in about 18 months I'd say but it was never my favourite. Had a couple of good nights out there but it's usually to packed with young ones getting much to messy.

I was only ever in there once or twice, I thought that they must be breaking the law having this many people in here. Wouldn't go back.

There all the same anyway, packed, music too loud (I'm not getting old damnit! You can hear that the speakers aren't up to the volume it just annoys me to hear rattely speakers), pissy beer that's over priced. I'd like to see a nightclub that tried to entertain it's customers instead of provide the bear minimum.

Havent been for about 2years,went about twice and soon copped on what kinda crowd was in it.Just now days when you hear people being half hour in the Q,20 at the bar and twenty each way for a smoke,only to return to find youve lost your mates cause they let to many in.whats the point in even leaving the house?.Ive also heard reports its the most profitable niteklub in europe,but that has to be bull****...

Actually the only good thing about CPs is that it DOES nearly always get a crowd no matter what night it is.Great if its a Mon or Tue night and ya wanna pull some talent.:D

I dunno.I like it.My week usually consists of monday night-gpo getting bananas or CP's on a thursday for scoring a commerce girl(They are always a commerce girl for some reason.)
Nver really was there at the weekend.Although apparently you can tell I am a CP's by the fact I shop in River Island.:(

My advice is to go to Halo allot nicer looking girls not looking to just score some random guy and leave when the lights come on. The layout, the lights and music and the general crowd is allot better!
It more expensive but worth it in my experience, but then again not a place where to get locked and expect to score. I think there is allot more effort involved and the girls are allot more mature and know when they like a guy and dont have to leave just because there friend wants a dance or what ever!

By the way I am only 22 and I think its the best club in Galway.
Smell of CPS and hard to talk to girls (only trying to say hello and act as if I had 2 heads)But saying that I used to like CPS on a Wednesday night.
Bottom line if going to night clubs lately mon thru Wednesday cps or karma every other night halo.

Sorry if it seems im pimping Halo but I think its worth it, just to let every one know there is another option other than CPS.

I've only been there 3 or 4 times but it was perfectly fine each and every time.

It didn't smell - it wasn't packed full of rosy cheeked farmers in shirts. I would go so far to say as the crowd was essentially indistinguishable from any other crowd in any other given nightclub really, so I don't know where this what appears to be some kind of 'myth' about CPs smelling like **** and being packed full of rednecks comes from.

Its not a myth, the place is full of boggers(just like the Kings Head) and it did for a long time smell of absolute ****e.If you go there often enough you will cop the crowd.

It was the third option I am afraid.After 2 bottles of buckfast and some tequila.Little first year dazzler heads to CP'S, SOMEHOW MANAGES TO GETS IN.:eek: Chatting to a girl I fancied all year when out of nowhere,I puke on her shoes.:o (Never had that chance again)The rest of the night was a blank.Apparently I was telling the female bouncer as I was leaving ie being dragged out that I liked the strong dominant type and could I have her number!:o
So thats my embarassing CP's story.I actually have an truly embarassing story from every nightclub.

Reread my post, i said the place, CPs, is full of boggers just like the Kings Head ,which is perfectly true! Im sure all your descriptions have been done at some stage or another in the Kings Head, if you remember correctly it didnt always have the crowd it has now.

When I was new in Galway I danced a whole song being the only person on the dancefloor in CP's. Everyone else was up at the bar staring at me. Good times

Why's it even called CP's? Wouldn't the apostrophe imply ownership? does someone called CP own it? I know it's short for Central Park, but still...

I hate cp's tbh, every time i go there its full of boggers. The women are good looking (some of them) but they ALL think they are models and untouchable, knida anoys me, especially if im lookin for a bit of fun after the club.
I wouldnt be a big fan of the knigs head either, its changed alot, even in the past year. Its usually full of tourists and crap pints. I must go for a pint in there soon to see if its changed any since my last vist.

It doesnt say Cp's ANYWHERE. It's always said CP. Also I think people are just badmouthing CP to fit in with the rest of the crowd on this board. I go to CP nearly ever night I'm out purely cos the nicest looking girls go there and so do my friends. No pints of guinness, maybe the odd shit in a pintglass and the od bit of puke but tbh it's a VERY small amount of times that happens. And it happens in every club, I'd imagine GPO or Cuba gets way more puke since they let anyone in. (GPO moreso than Cuba who to be fair have decent doorstaff)

Also I know all of this cos i used to work there. Stop slagging it off to fit in.

That's pretty much what I deduced, I've gone there a few times and found it totally fine, pretty much indistinguishable from any other nightclub for good or for bad.
