theres almost ALWAYS a fat annoying friend, usually drunk and teary eyed, and usually has the sole mission to bring the girl home instead of the boy shes talking to

You probably had a sure fire threesome with the blocker and her fella and you were too drunk to cop on. :D

OP, you just seem a little bitter that you didn't get your hole. In any case, what makes you think that a girl who only met you twice would want to sleep with you? You must be fabulous.

 eh, of course I would be a little bit bitter! Its why I started this post!! Heres a tip for you Lurk. When you ahem do stuff with a girl the first time you meet her and conversation indicates that things will go well the next time you see her, THEN theres a good chance to assume that she wants to sleep with you

to be honest, from what you're saying. if you meet someone, talk a little bit and get on, see them the again then they want to sleep with ya? nice logic..

    eg.

    day one:

    guy - "Hi"
    girl - "hey"
    ...chat...
guy - "so you wanna get a coffee tomorrow or something"
    girl - "sure"
guy - "k cya tomorrow" (thinking : omg yes she wants to sleep with me!)

yep.. makes a LOT of sense now..

Also if a guy ends up sleeping with a girl he didn't want to, he usually chalks it down to the drink. Why is it so different for women? I personally don't care about a girl's past (as long as it doesn't affect the present). Some posters here though (especially some female ones) seem to be implying that a girl is a slut if she acts on her horniness at 2 in the morning and goes home with some guy.

First off, commiserations. no one likes missing out on sex. Secondly, regards the quote above, girls are considered sluts if they sleep around because that's what they are taught. Its (almost) socially acceptable for guys to watch porn, masturbate, sleep around and carry condoms, but these same things in a girl are not seen as desireable qualities. Society (read mammy's) want their girls as virtuous as possible for as long as possible, and thats pounded into them from a young age. (note I'm not saying girls don't watch porn, masturbate, etc, but they do it less than guys and they start older.

Ahem, I know you are young so perhaps you need this explained to you. When the vorbis said "stuff happened between him and the girl" further up the page, I really don't think he meant coffee. In fairness once you pass twenty people will pretty much be able to know the difference between coffee=sex and fooling around and the invitation to meet again=high possibility of sex. Just so you know.

It's kind of contradictory to suggest a woman who wants to have a one night stand - drunk or sober, really, really wants to have sex & is actually with a guy she wants to have sex with, is incapable of taking her friend to one side & saying "Hey, I want him - can you leave us in peace for the evening/2mins?"...it just doesn't make sense.

I don't think its so much to do with a friend sitting in on the action as a deliberate ploy to ruin both her friend & your night, as some of you may like to delude yourselves with. Surely any girl is well capable of saying "leave us alone" or taking a guy into her room to get some privacy? The fact a girl does neither would suggest to me she didn't want to have sex, she did want the friend there & the fact her pal has been called fat, jealous & in the title of the thread a ****blocker would perhaps indicate why. ;):p

Don't you mean "We try and stop each other from acting like the drunken, irresponsible sluts that we really are deep down inside"?

That is a sweeping generalisation and actually leads me to believe that you don't deep down have respect for women at all. But then again i have issues with posts that assert that women are sluts (and that because they are enjoying or flirting in nightclubs that they are automatically spreading everything). It says more about what thought processes are going on in the posters head.

I would agree with virtually all ickle magoo says. If the guy is targeting females who are very drunk, and he isn't then he IS a sleazeball and its fully understandable why women would look after each other. The guy is known as a wolf: in that he looks at the herd and isolates the most vulnerable.

If they are both very drunk.. then mistakes happen (though if that drunk would the guy perform anyways), but in that case i personally would have preferred if MY friends had been looking out.

I am not 15 and my experience isnt that limited, but I would say that challengemaster shows more intirnsic understanding that many men twice his age.
Those who said that the OP prospective sex partner should have said somethig are most probably correct in their assumption.

After having a sure thing with a girl messed up by her friend, I'm a little upset  Back at the house, her friend wouldn't leave us alone till about 4 in the morning by which time I was too wrecked to do anything. What made it worse was she was ignoring her boyfriend who lived up the street to block my attempts to get some action

So leaving aside cases where your friend may be very drunk, have you ever prevented a friend (whos single) from having sex with a guy? A guy would be crucified if he acted in the same manner. In my case, she didn't want her friend to act like a slut??

I dunno Vorbis, if shes criminally fat with big glasses if you pull a male friend away your doing a favour. Ive pulled mine away, Ive been pulled away, and we are all the better for it.

Anywho, I find that if Im ever trying to do my thaaaaaaaannnngggggg that the arse attempting to seperate us is usually quite round and flesh filled. Some London rapper, cant recall his name, did a song about this issue called Butterz Mate (Butterz apparently London slang for good looking girl), basically the song and hilarious video about a guy trying to get with some cute thing at the bar while her moustachioed heavy set mate keeps butting in.

Recall one time met some gorgeous thing on the floor, anwyay we got seperated but at the end of the night Im fallin about rubbered when I see her in the corner with her mate. Seeking to initiate Part 2 I saunter over with a walk probably like Chief Wiggums charm walk when he is caught drinking in Moes during prohibition. Her mate was wrecking my head with the old fat arse pincer movement to seperate, Id had a few, so I basically shouted "**** off you fat bitch!" and then proceeded to talk of how she was only jealous nobody wanted a piece of her.

I couldnt eat a burger without pain for 2 days following the almighty clatter in the jaw she gave me :p

Well you believe what you want to believe from how very little you know. I have plenty of respect for real women. I have NO respect for misandrists who see all men as potential rapists and are perfectly happy to either casually or flamboyantly insinuate such.
But then again i have issues with posts that assert that women are sluts

Did I make a blanket assertion that all women are sluts? No I did not. I simply accused the women who are asserting that this innocent lad is a dangerous sex pest predator of, in fact, making excuses for being incapable of keeping their knickers on.

My mates tend not to be so supportive. We let the guy score with the girl and tease him for weeks afterwards :)

The OP admitted that the blocker was more attractive (and not fat)? Also that the blocker had a b/f? So me thinks that she was not attracted to the OP, but rather asked to block by her friend?

Umm yup you pretty much did in your first post actually

The only direct accusations directed at posters actually came from your posts. Reading Bluelagoon's post to which you so eruditely replied never asserted anything of the sort.
YOU chose to take it as such and launch into a diatribe based on that and consequently accusing women expressing views as misandrist.

I suppose i would have to reply that i have NO respect for misogynists

Back in the day, when I was a young-shpalpeen, I was giv'n the tashk of marking a 6'3 under-14 out in the auld pitch down by the river. T'was in the dying minutes of the second-half of the county third division final, with the opposition of Knockeennahone bravely setting up one lasht attack againsht my home parish, Tournafoulla.

We were down two men, but we shtill had the great Mossy Mac Tiernan, (the man I was marking) who was charging like a shteaming bull up the right side-line, his cheeks swelling to the sizes of oranges.

I was great friends with Mossy, but I knew that if he managed to get pasht me, we would never recover. As he thundered along, mud kicked up behind him shpattering his geansai, I shtarted to tackle and trail him like the terrier I was in those days.

He dodged, weaved, all the time creeping closer and closer to the goal poshts. Seeing an opening, he went for the shot and without thinking I dived in front of him...

Hold on a minute, I just read the rest of the thread. I was thinking of a different ****blocking.:)

OP, I think you may not have been wise in using such a thread name as a thread title. It may have been a bit crude to some (or in my case, misleading):)

Sure, both you and the girl you were seeing may have both wanted to be together, but the girl you were interested in wasn't interested enough to ask her friend to leave. So maybe she wasn't in such good shape after all when it came to drink.

Yes, she could have said "yes" to you, but equally she could have said "no, I'd like to be alone now with Vorbis" to her friend (in more diplomatic terms:) )

Aye, i will keep an eye out for the arrows of indignation while i am at it.:p

Oh and to answer your question, i would classify a "real woman" the same way as i would classify a "real man". A unique, individual and human being

I didn't make up the phrase! It does seem to be a more american phrase though.
Its quite possible that the friend either didn't take the hint or the girl vorbis was after didn't feel she could tell her friend to leave for whatever reason.

That would be my explanation for her not telling the friend to move along. She even said her friend was a bit "matronly" at one point when I asked how come she was staying around.

A lot of women (and some men) are very passive and will do what a dominant friend wants. The downside is if you confront the friend, the girl wll side with her friend (as you'd expect) leaving you ****ed (or not in this case!)

Well, this thread could use an athlete who knows how to block. At least he understands the concept. If he blocks some bloke that's trying to make a move on his teammate with the ball, and does a grand job blocking, the fans will cheer him on. And anyone who bad mouths the blocker will obviously be rooting for the opposing team. After all, this is all in the spirit of the game, be it on the field, pub, or these boards.

Not in Gaelic! You cannot block a man who is going to tackle your teammate. Now, if it were the Trojans (as AM football is quite different), and Booty was making a move on tackling my teammate...by God, he would go down! :D

But I agree with you Blue.;)
