WLAN question

Hey folks im pretty sure this is a stupidly easy question, but im just wondering how to get my PSP connected to the net on a WLAN for the first time. theres no security or anything so i figured id just have to put in the SSID but when it tries to connect it says the WLAN switch is off. is this something i can switch on…

I just bought the PSP off a buddy who had only played games and never connected it. Unfortunately he himself bought it at an airport in norway so the instruction booklit is only in scandinavian languages!

Yes it is the switch on the LEFT side of the PSP. Might be green light beside it. http://www.centresoft.co.uk/psp/images/wlan_switch.jpg
