I'm totally sickened by Kerry Katona's Iceland ads. They make me want to heave. Obviously they're aimed at a certain audience, the working-class British who live in slums.

Welcome to the world of advertsing. Where have you been?

Ah well look on the bright side. At least they're only 30 seconds long. You don't have to experience her for any prolonged period of time, like for example that guy from Westlife who probably even woke up to the sight of her face and the sound of her voice on several occasions. :(

He was in Westlife; he deserved it.

She did a terrible interview on the late-late not to many moons ago. Cant stand her, miss do anything for a buck although she is far from alone in that seedy world.

Yeah, those ads are depressing. Chicken curry for €1 - I dread to think what's put in it.

Is it just me or do English ads seem far more exploitative than Irish ones? I'm thinking especially of those dodgy debt-consolidation ones they have on every break.

Thats only cos Ireland has yet to discover the joys of local cable channels. Just wait until RTE Gold is launched.

    Mike.

Last Friday night about 9:33pm was RTE Gold!

Oh yes Miss Katona totally sickens me. Driving around Warrington with her kids in the car, no insurance. Saw her on that Awful Angry Wimmin show at lunchtime on ITV a few years ago and blubberbust was on doing a George Best telling a tale about someone asking her "Kerry, where did it all go wrong?" To which she replied "I'm a Millionaire" cue wild cheering and in your face whooping  . These Iceland ads should be banned, down with this sort of thing!

It's in the North Atlantic. ......Sorry couldn't resist! ;)

I once did a trolley dash in Iceland. No punchline, just embarrassing!

There was one on Talbot Street where Eason's used to be... but it's closed down a while now and something else is going to open in its place.... I wonder what it will be.

Used to be one in Tallaght and I think that it's being turned in to appartments. I think they pulled out of 'Eire' a while back. Good riddance, we must be too 'posh and clever' for them afterall! What is so posh about profiteroles??

there was one in dun laoghaire supplying the local 15 year old pram pushers with cheap fodder for their snotty little bastards, its closed down a good while now

haven't seen an Iceland shop in Ireland for at least 2 years?

Not a huge fan of Jimmy Carr but I liked his observation that the table of food presented before the fatty by Gillian McKeith to help him/her see the error of their ways is exactly the same table of food that Kerry Katona presents in those Iceland ads.

I'm sure Bryan McFadden thought meeting her for a drink sounded like a good idea in the beginning. A sorry state. I did wonder if their respective PR people are godparents to the children?

When I lived in London, I used to do some of my shopping in Iceland and I thought it was great. Like Lidl/Aldi you can pick up some great stuff.

Do people look down on shops like this because they are cheap?

Kerry Katona does need a good smack in the jaw tho and the ads are very annoying.

yes yes they do, and having Kerry Katona as the icon for the store makes it more so

I live in England ;) There isn't one near me I don't think, but when I was a poor student up north there was one close and I'd stock up on stuff.

They used to be good, but they've cut back their product range drastically..not so good now.
