I used the M8 while driving from Cork to Dublin last night (Sunday). I handed my money to the cashier. He asked if I had EasyPass (I do) and then returned my money and let me through.
I thought that NTR and the M8 operators were in discussions about putting EasyPass detectors at the M8 toll booths.

According to the Eazypass website, it can only be used in Northlink (Drogheda), Eastlink and Westlink.

I have PassDirect electronic toll (used for M8). It's supposed to beep when the toll is deducted but it never beeps for me as I sail through the express lane. There aren't any barriers, so I just keep going anyway.

It did beep in the past before the express lane was open as I approached the toll booths.

I dont think they've quite got the hand of the electronic tolling on the M8 just yet.
