The dish might be too small. Lidl have done every size dish from 43cm to 1200cm. I'm not familiar with quality of bracket or size of dish Aldi supplied.

Minimum of 80cm for a motor, plus a stronger wall mount bracket than Lidl usually supply.

Motek in satellite.ie or Metronic in Maplins.

You need Motor that does Diseqc 1.2 + GotoX. It is the receiver that does USALS, there is no such thing as a USALS motor.

If your receiver does USALS (may just call it GotoX, though that is different) You enter your lat and long into receiver and "USALS" is calculating the GotoX value for the motor for each satellite position automatically.

do you need a seperate power supply to operate the motorised dish or how does it work?

If the receiver is Disecq compatible it will power the motor.

The faster more powerfull motors /actuators for very big dishes use 36V. For the "ordinary" dish and a Diseqc Motor, indeed it is powered via the coax. A separate short coax connects from LNB to Motor.

Some (most?) PC satellite cards can't manage the current of a Motoer properly.

Stab, Metronic, Motek will all be fine. Plenty of sources in Sticky. Check for sales in Maplin in near you.
