I think that should be Mairead Farrell without the O from what I heard last night. I thought she was better. At least she was up for a laugh unlike Anna Nolan who sits there pretending to be shocked by everything they say. There giving Mairead another go next week so hopefully she'll get better as she goes along. The comment about Dara banana hands was funny, a bit weird but still couldn't see Anna Nolan or Looney saying something like that.

I'm convinced that the researchers on TodayFM read Boards all the time, especially on the Matt Cooper show. It seems when ever a big subject comes up on Boards it then finds it's way onto his show. So I would imagine it would be the same for RTE researchers too.

As for "Mairead (no O) Farrell" I thought she was very good, nothing spectacular (except for her baps) but I think she was quite nervous which is understandable in the circumastances. I reckon after a couple of appearances she'll come into her own. Been listening to her for years on the Ray D'Arcy Show and she's always been quite funny.

Damn TodayFM freeloaders!

Well, there was a load of moaning (that I was a part of) about Fiona Looney during the last season of The Panel, and she was gotten rid of, now the new season starts and we're moaning about Anna Nolan and poof!She disappears!

I don't mind Ed Byrne that much. That said, they're obviously trying to tackle the major problems first! And they have, so long as they keep Mairead. Nice to see some Today FM talent get exposure.

and now we have someone who is apparently 'quite funny' wow!

I must have been watching a different show but I think she is terrible. Every time she interrupted proceedings it was with something stupid. There is no point in having a token female on the show if they are rubbish.

Yup yup! Anyway, Edith Bowman was an interesting panellist to have on, in that one wouldn't have expected they would have got her. But she wasn't great, better than some of the other panellists they've had on (Geri Maye, Fiona Looney et al) but not funny enough.

And while I think of Geri Maye, does anyone remember the time on a year or two ago when they showed her saying 'f***' on the Uncut part, and the whole panel started having a go at her. "Oh! Geri said ***k! They'll never take that on The Den!", and stuff like that. She had it coming.
