S/N ratio - good or bad?

    Stats from my Netgear RangeMax:


    Connection Speed 3072 kbps 384 kbps
    Line Attenuation 30.0 db 15.0 db
    Noise Margin 21.3 db 18.0 db

    My stats are awful.

    ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
    Connection Speed 3072 kbps 384 kbps
    Line Attenuation 44.0 db 26.0 db
    Noise Margin 9.5 db 15.0 db


    It gets progressively worse in the evenings and the weekends are always bad.

    eircom support suggested I unplugged my micro filters and tried again.
    When I asked how this would explain how the margin got worse in the evening, I got no reply.

    The final suggestion was that they send out and engineer who'll charge me €56 if he finds anything wrong.

    The eircom state monopoly was better.
