I saw a girl tonight whoose mobile phone cover matched the cover of her top exactly. Nothing unusual in that, you would think........but this is the third time I've seen her with a matching top/cover! She must have a cupboard full of top/cover pairs :)

It got me thinking about what people do for fashion. I think my weakest moment fashion wise was buying a pair of jeans that could have doubled as a parachute. What's yours? ;)

I just go for whats comfortable, like hoodies and baggy pantaloons (less bunching), I also wear cotton boxers if your wondering :)
Imo women who are obsessed with fashion are just as shallow as you get and are not worth bothering with.

at least they are concsious of their appearance unlike those that go around wearing dirty tracksuits and look all round like a greaseball.
Always wondered where that stadium was :D

    God where to start..

i have had too mqany to mention. i like to look well when i go out but i couldnt be arsed going shopping its a pain in the nether regions. i would be so embarrased to have matching phone/clothes. it happened by mistake once and i got the piss ripped outta me!

i dunno how some girls lives/incomes revolve entirely around fashion.

id rather spend the time/effort/money getting rubbered in the pub in last seasons cast offs myself!

Those dam x-works, my worst moments were a NAFF jacket, and a rocky balboa style shiny blue jacket.

A tie dye tshirt. A fúcking orange and black tie die t-shirt. I thought I was great, I looked like a gibbon. I'd never even heard of the Grateful Dead.

My friends seem to think they're daft..., but i know better;)

    Fair cool. Buy a pair.

    When i was 17,
    I had a pair of x-works,
i had no idea how cool i looked though at the time,
    When i was 17....

Oh yeah! There was a time when everyone (except me, thank god) was wearing them. Even spawned numerous fakes.

When I was in 5th class, the skangers in the class all sold Christmas trees outside the school in December to "get a pair of Xworx".

    They were that desireable.

    What were we thinking?

I bought a pair of those Eclipse jeans
    For halloween.
Along with a sweatshirt and a baseball cap.
Went as a....wait for it....a Raver.
    Oh the innocence of youth...
had a pack of stinkbombs too.
    h the craic was 90...then I found drink :D

What's the story with women wearing white tops with red pants?
They look fine wearing nothing or anything so what's special about colour?
Personally Royal Blue and yellow gets it up for me.
    Like Biel-Tan Guardians......
    Obscure WH40K Eldar reference

I had an eclipse jacket - a memory I had blocked out until Lex mentioned the brand. Bastard.

and who the hell bought wax jackets?
where did those ppl come from?
    what did they want?
and what major event happened that made them all disappear?

the big pockets were the forebearers of the modern day combat.
Handy for stuff sweets into in the shop and running out the door.

I recently spent €500 in the Brown Thomas sale but I am not a fashion victim !

The only thing that I get worked op about is if I buy a nice shirt/t-shirt/sweatshirt/jacket and I then see someone else with the same one. I will rarely wear that item of clothing again.

I remember X-Worx and Naff jackets, I refused to wear em even though all my friends did. I used to wear combats before too but then they became the in thing so I never wore em since.

Matching your phone with your top is kind of childish really. Too much thinking involved.

Bell-Bottums! oh dear god burn all picture, burn em all! :o

    oh dear :o

Between the age of 13-16 X-worx, eclipse, and all that absolute crap was what consisted of my clothes, I then got rid of all of it, kept what wasn't too baggy to skate in but was comfortable, skated in them till they had so many holes I couldn't possibly be worn anymore and they slowly vanished one by one to the bin where they belonged all along :D

The girls in my office will sit there talking about shopping for one pair of shoes (for over an hour, then spend two hours picking them out and trying them on in various shops) each just because there is a company night out and they don't want to be seen wearing the same shoes..........to each their own. I'm much more concerned with why I wanted those bloody x-worx yokes

When I was a kid I had this red sweatshirt with a pic of a snake coming out of a skull, you know the sort of art you would see on a Guns & Roses album circa 1989 :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,400 ✭✭✭TacT

lol how could I forget my black denim jacket with the two guns and roses symbol that I bought in golden discs for about 30quid then proceeded to sew on myself (it was crooked and all) :D

on a levi's black denim jacket

ok I admit it, I even had loads of badges and pins sticking through it :p

Here's another one, faded denim jacket with a huge Megadeath patch taking up the entire back of it. This woulda been around 1989-1990....

I liked metal because my brother was into it :D

    Oh god, yes. Global Hypercolour.

I had one of those, blue was to become green but it always looked like vomit (although the carrot chunks were not forthcoming).

Come to think of it, I also had a wax jacket.

Right, who's going to confess to a shiny track suit?
