Can anyone tell roughly what the cost would be get an oil tank moved.
Mine is already in the back garden but I want to move it about 20 feet. So the main work, I guess, would be to add the additional piping and then lay the foundations etc and supports at the new location....

    Has anyone go this done?

    Thx

Try Primo Oil, but they normally remove for € 200+/-.

I did mine a while back. Materials..
Piping & compression fitting say €30...Concrete approx €50-€70. Labour, God only knows....Is there oil in the tank? If so you can either get the oil company to come suck it out and refill or you could get a barrell and transfer it yourself depending on quantity.

I had to replace an oil tank (only 3 years old) a while back because it cracked on the seam. The local oil company charged me €50 to suck out the kero and then pump it back in when we were ready.

A word of warning - Follow the tank manufacturers instructions to the letter when it comes to the supports for the tank. Mine should have been fully supported but there were gaps between some of the blocks. The total unsupported area added up to only 5" along the length of the tank, but the manufacturer would not honour the guarantee because of it.

Since then I've seen loads of badly installed tanks around the place, only two supports instead of three etc. etc. Don't cut corners or it could cost you €500 down the road!
