I have an unlocked V600i. It's from my own Vodafone contract, and was unlocked by Vodafone.

However, I don't like the modifications Vodafone made to the firmware. Is it possible to flash it with the latest generic Sony Ericsson firmware? How?

the v600 is specific to vodafone
there is a generic version of it called the k600 but it is phyically different (the keys and the available memory)

it isn't possible to install k600 software on the v600.

It is possible to flash the Vodafone branded V600i and 3 branded K608i with generic K600i firmware, I have done both, you need special hardware/software

i'd thought that there was a problem with the memory addressing on the v600
