Lotto - Can't do multi draw. Changes a-comin'?

Picture the scene, a regular occurance; I go into the Lotto agents, mark my numbers, mark the "multi draw" box for 4 draws, and hand over the playslip to shopkeeper.

She comes back and tells me that the machine won't allow me to play more than 2 multi draws. I say "wtf" and she is none the wiser, as bemused as me.

I was able to do a multi draw on the Euromillions.

Maybe there are changes about to happen in the Lotto game??
Anyone know? Nothing on the Lotto.ie site....

I don't know of anything but I'll tell you one thing they need to f*ckin' sort out; the paltry sums for lower tier prizes.

Oh and can we please have a realistic figure for the minimum jackpot and a decent add-on for the rollover? I mean it's 2006...€1.27M isn't exactly going to buy you a mansion in this country anymore....imagine it; a lotto winner needing a mortgage.

went into a shop the other day and they had a sign sayin multi-draw isnt workin?????

Our shop got a message about this from the National Lottery people so I rang their hotline, apparently they're on a fallback version of their ticket software at the server end because they're upgrading their main machines to a newer version. No indication whether the new software will allow playing the games differently.
