    Prague goddamnit.
Or Hungary. Middle europe or eastern europe, to the larger cities, where the architecture is amazing, the beer is cheap, the service is great, the craic is fa-ha-hantastic, and they let you fire guns.

was in Prague 6 years ago and loved it beautiful beer etc but has it not become very expensive?

for 20 lads it would be far easier to get to Liverpool. Was there earlier in the year for a stag and it was perfect. Great craic and cheap enough.

Plus if you can take in a game all the better!!

    Vegas Baby!!!

Was there in September, 16 of us went.

Cost approx. €600 for flights and accommodation for 5 nights.

It is a long way to go, but Vegas Baby!

Leeds - Ryanair fly there very cheap, had great craic on a hen night there!!

Dusseldorf - Aer Lingus did really cheap flights return to there... great German beers... need I say more??

Las Vegas - but that'll cost you are pretty penny (just win it all back at the tables  )... we made a holiday of it and spent 2 weeks there for the hen/stag nights and the wedding. really must go back there soon.

I have a friend that's needs to have a stag in about 3 weeks but he won't leave the country. He's not supposed to be having a stag but he's bird is out of the country for the next 5 weeks so he's going to have one on the sly.

So I need to know good places in Ireland.

Prague is mental deffinetly go there if you can, you can get the for about €100 with aerlingus and you'll be hard pushed to spend €200 in a weekend.

For a stag in Ireland I'd suggest Kilkenny. Meant to be great craic.

For a stag abroad I'd say Prague too. Was there in February with the other half and had a great time. It's not expensive at all, once you stick to the older areas of the city. Far more interesting. The newwer areas look like every other European city and in some places so do the prices.

I'd also recommend Edinburgh. I was there last March for my sister's hen weekend and we had a ball. Flights and accommodation were both reasonable and the drink isn't too expensive. We found that everyone putting £30 or £40 into a kitty did us for the whole night including shots and night club entry. Also with edinburgh you'd have the added bonus of loads of hen parties, which should be appealing to the single men in the group :)

My sister's husband went to Brussells and had a brilliant time last April. He said the drink wasn't too dear and he got his hotel for €60 a night. We're having our "hen weekend reunion" in Brussells next April (making it an annual thing) and we priced flirghts with ryanair for €94 return, friday to sunday, and a few triple rooms in a hotel right in the centre works out at €51 each for the weekend.

hamburg is nuts, hotels are cheap, if you book early flights are ok with aer lingus, don't use ryanair lubeck is an hour from hamburg.. beer is great, people are very friendly, it's like amsterdam mixed with edniburgh and dublin..

Have you thought of somewhere in Germany, OP? I'd recommend Hamburg as well. Plenty of cheap beerage for the lot of ye. It is not very expensive to stay there either and easy to get around.

Yeah have considered it all right but we were already there last nov (in munich) , great time had by all but the consenus amongst the other participants would be to check out a different country..

If you can afford it, definitely Vegas. The flights may be a little expensive, but you can find inexpensive hotels on the strip, the food is cheap as chips, and the drink is often free when you're playing in the casinos. The place is a real eye-opener and a group of lads are guaranteed to have a helluva time, with possibly one or two coming back married.

Ryanair will be flying to Tampera in Finland from this December, this is the best cuty in Finland, great pubs, great women, and also great women in Strip joints, something different, also a good time to go should be nearly 24 hour brightness by yhr time you go.

I'll go with JungleBunny on the Dusseldorf suggestion.
I had my stag there with 20-odd mates & it was spectacular.

Another vote for Prague, especially if you haven't been, nicest city I've been to in Eastern Europe in terms of architecture, bars, clubs and restaurants and no, it is _not_ expensive, shockingly cheap in fact.

It would be perfect for a stag - any type from the reasonably quiet variety to the ahem other type.

Prague: Cracking city, as expensive as Dublin, if not more so, in the inner quarters, but just outside ie 5-10 minutes from Charles Bridge, all local beers 40-60c  Now, once they hear your accent, the dollar signs will light up their eyes and they'll charge you double, but I dont think you'll be ringing Eddie Hobbs about it. Definitely not after 26 beers for a score :D

Talin: The new up and coming Prague. Quality city, architecture, burgeoning tourist industry so great service and friendly locals, shockingly cheap beerage and, well lets just say the ladies are vvvvvvvery easy on the eye.

Newcastle/Liverpool: Getting a game in c. May will be tough. Not sure re Newcastle but LFC's only home game in May is the 13th gainst Charlton. Advance booking not poss either, so will have to wait 2-3 weeks before game and hope you get tickets for 20 lads...? Bit of a nightmare. However the local ladies' penchant for walking around in boob tubes and mini skirts that are so short they might as well be a hat..!..in the middle of October...!..is a tremendous incentive. Peanut smuggling capital of Europe. :D

Purely from an Irish angle, Doolin: Great craic

Ps: having a stag on the sly..??!! WTF sort of life of misery is he getting himself into??

WHAT?!!!! Jesus man they must have seen you coming. I only had a €10 note on me when I got to Prague and I still managed to have a two course meal and about 6 beers. The second day I had absolutely nothing and still got warped! Every club I passed by had some sort of offer one was offering 10 drinks and €10 in (I was obviously a backpacker though). That's on the main street, it is cheeper the further out you go but be warned I met some Irish lads that got the **** kicked out of them on the outskirts of Prague. Eat in the local places their dirt cheep and the soup in Prague is second to none. Always look like your in two minds and shopping around to the ones trying to get you inside the clubs they'll bumb up the offer.

And if you can go to Cesky Krumlov, (3 hours from Prague) take the stag there even it's a mad oul spot.

He's marrying a yank and she's not cut out for the Irish social scene really, she went out once when she first came over and literally had to be carried home, over the shoulder job :D

She knows no one here so won't have a hen night. I hate to say it but he's a bit of a party nut and I don't think she has a leach strong enough to keep him home for the rest of his life. That's young un's for ya.

    Flight Centre UK.

You can get a direct flight from a few UK cities direct to Las Vegas.

We got ours from Manchester, Ryanair flight was €0.49 from Dub-Manchester, especially if you are talking about next May/June.

Amsterdam, ftw. Its got everything and then some :D

Aer Lingus do cheap enough flights there although accomodation can be a bit pricey compared to other destinations.

Yep, agree with this...check out hotels like:

    The Riviera on the Strip
    http://www.rivierahotel.com/

Luxor - Might have been demolished by May 2007
    http://www.luxor.com/

Just avoid the big things like Bellagio and MGM Grand and you can stay in Vegas fairly cheaply. You can still go to these casinos when you are there. Drinking for free is very possible, especially at the roulette tables where a few dollars can be dragged out over a few free drinks!

Eating is like a lot of US cities, $10 would do you for the day!

I was at a stag in Berlin last month and it was amazing. They have thousands of high quality pubs and clubs. Some stuff that you couldnt possibly imagine. EG. a place called the KitKat club which is in an old warehouse. This place wont let you in if you are wearing clothes - its basically a big orgy

I second Berlin. There's no other city really like it. Lots of interesting stuff to see in the day before you head out in the evening.

    Also Barcelona.

I did mention that this was in the inner quarters which is where most of the "trendy" bars are located. We soon hot-footed it out a few streets to the older quarters where a round of 26 scoops came to c. €20... or didnt you read that bit?

Would echo your caution though... I nipped down a flight of stairs into one of those mall type things under the main junctions to buy a pack of smokes and was approached by a group of h00kers. While trying to negotiate the coins and machine (very distracting when you're getting three sets of Top Tens flashed at you) I was then collared by two cops, complete with alsations and sub-machine guns, for soliciting. Ten minutes spread eagled at a wall getting the muzzle of a gun thumped into my ribs (please resist the urge for a cheap crack at this one) and they finally listened to my despreate (and very possibly little-girl-like) protests that I was Irish and just buying smokes and they let me go... with two cracked ribs and a great story for the lads.

Newcastle if you can go to England. Kilkenny or Galway if you're staying in Ireland.
