Anyway have any suggestions for a nice three hour (or so) drive from Cork? Something passing through Kinsale etc.

Well, Kinsale is only 30 minutes outside Cork city, so you'd have to keep going past it for quite some time.

I don't know much of what's down that route after Kinsale, though.

go down past kinsale, hang left trhough the town, go over the bridge, head out towards the old head and garretts town, pass garretstown and take th coast road out along to drimoleague, head down to clon, grab chips in teh rossa, head home via bandon. some more nice spins up the vee if you're willing to forgo kinsale and head north. some dude the father knows has anice book of motorcycle rides in the cork area, cant remember the name of it offhand, you can do em in a car too, wonderful little narrow windy irish roads
