I'm having great difficulty configuring my permanet connection with my new router (Belkin), as in the way it won't connect to the Internet at all through it!, the only connection I get is when I do a bare connection between the cable modem and my ethernet socket. Can someone who has successsfully configured their router to work with their permanet connection help me!!!. Thanks.

You need to post what you've tried (have you followed instructions and what are they) before anyone can help you.

You need to set up the router as an ethernet bridge, enable dhcp on the local machine.
