Hey guys/gals, i am new to travelling around Ireland and was wondering if any of you could tell me whats the best way to get to Ashford in Co Wicklow before 9am on weekdays. I dont have a car so any bus info or train would help. greatly appreciate this. i checked the bus and train websites but they are not very helpful. oh I live in Dublin City centre.

Bus Eireann service 133 goes from Dublin (Busáras) to Ashford, but there's no way you'll get there before 9am I'm afraid.

    Here's the timetable http://www.buseireann.ie/site/your_journey/printed_timetable_pdfs/local/133.pdf

There's no train station in Ashford. Your best bet might be to get a train to Wicklow (see www.irishrail.ie) and a bus from there to Ashford.

You have a 0645 84 to newcastle village arriving at 0820 buts its still some trek from there.

Train + bike? Bus + bike?

The 133N will get you there about 0434. Otherwise Route 2 gets you there at 0750 - but its listed as a pick up stop only, same with route 5. Can one pay the extra fare to the first non-pick-up stop?

    Days of operation:
    runs Sa, Su
    Comments:
Nightrider service - special fares apply. No service on Christmas

I presume it operates very early Saturday and Sunday mornings, i.e. Friday and Saturday night.

get the rosslare train from Pearse at 0734
    arrives in Wicklow at 0838
then get a cab (obviously you'd want to book this in advance) - Ashford is less than 10 minutes drive.

People can get from dublin to ashford in the morning by taking the Rosslare bus. This bus stops in ashford in non-peak hours. It will even stop in wicklow town in non-peak hours too.
