    hi all,

Just installed a wireless modem / router and all seems to be working fine on pc except for the fact that it won't connect to certain sites (all Irish) for me - it keeps displaying the server not available error page on explorer. I got a mate to log onto one of the sites to make sure it wasn't down

    Examples include www.cro.ie, www.isands.ie....

The modem / router has a firewall and something called NAT both enabled and something called UPnP disabled.

Can any of you experts shed a bit of light on how to resolve this issue - especially bearing in mind this is my first venture into wireless :o

I'm on broadband wit bt if that's relevant

    Thanks

    Joe

If you connect to the modem/router using a cable can you access the sites?

I had a similar problem except it was https sites that I couldn't access. Go to the router manufacturer's homepage and get a firmware update. After that look around in the router settings and decrease the MTU by a few bytes.

Tried a firmware update and it tells me I've already got latest version.

MTU is 1430 - what would you change it to?

Still can't access certain sites and it won't let me send and receive mail in Outlook now....
