Sky Sports on NTL Digital

HI, I have NTL digital basic package, I want to watch the Ryder Cup at home as i'll not only do I not want to spend the weekend in the pub i'll end up spending a fortune if i do. Does anyone know if it's possible to sign up to sky sports for a month and cancel, is there a 12 month contract with it or anything? I did try…

Pretty sure you can order it by the month.
