Super Value have the new Fusion razor with a 20% discount.

I'm not too fond of paying over the odds for razor blades but the new fusion model is rather cool.

Good bargain, however I find the blades are the worst I ever came across with a manual razor. I'm back with the Mach 3 now. :)

I agree, back to the Mach 3 myself, the new Fusion razor just doesn't cut as good as the Mach.

hmmm... I dunno, I like the fusion myself, and I think it cuts same as/better than the mach 3. But theres something about the fusion I dont like. I think the fact that using the fusion, which is so smooth, it feels like it aint working.

Least with the mach 3, I get just as close a shave, and I actually FEEL a little friction.

However, the new fusion shaving gel is very nice. :)

Once I run out of fusion, and sensor excel blades (dont ask), I shall invest in some new mach 3 blades, aint bought blades for it in ages!

I did a test with 2 new blades, mach3 turbo vs. fusion. Fusion won it quite impressively for me!

Still using the mach3 for the mo tho, as have about 16 new blades!

Off topic I know but I was wondering how much a packet of blades for the Fusion would cost.

I really do admire Gilette's marketing department.

I mean, they took something very ordinary; a thing which cuts the bristles off men's faces and made it "cool" and "desirable"
Any company who can put a picture of a ferrari on a tool like this and increase sales knows their market very well. Or, knows the intelligence of their market very well.

Anyone who falls for their patter is a moron.

guys was in the states recently and fusion blades are 1/3 of the price they are here

Damn it. I thought that if the fusion had 20% off then it would only have 4 blades. :D

On topic, I noticed a chemist selling Mach 3 blades yesterday for €4.99. Is this a good price?

Regarding the fusion, while I agree their marketing department works very well, the TV ad. says that all previous razors gave a rough/irritating cut. Are they seriously having a go at their own products?

I only use the newest Gilette Product - the Gillete Hexagonator Turbo Ultra, it has 6 revolving blades attached to a vibrating motor with an automated ear-hair trimming arm. Of course this will be outmoded by the Octaturbonutta Deluxe Super-Ultra which will have 8 rotating blades...... oh, you get the idea.

Somehow I think you either saw a wrong price or the the had made a mistake. I was there just over a week ago and the price seem to be $22.99 for 8 blades manual and $27.99 for 8 blades power.

Rite aid had an offer of $21.99 for 8 baldes manual & 24.99 for 8 baldes power.

Even the so called online discounters only seem to be a dollar or so off these prices. Then add in sales tax of about 8% and the prices seem to be slightly cheaper over here!

America is no longer the land of bargains it used to be - rarely do I come back with anything from my trips - even clothing such as Hilfiger shirts & dockers are within 10 / 15% of prices charged over here.
