Changing iTunes secured to iRiver compatible?

Hello, When i download podcasts with iTunes and try to put them on my iRiver they won't play as there is a security tab on the iTunes download - is there anyway around this? thanks, luke...

How about burning them to CD and then ripping the resulting CD to MP3 and then putting those MP3's onto your iRiver?

Awkward, I know, but it should work fine.
