    Hi,

Could someone explain the difference in these two types of reels? Ive always used Fixed spool and hvae never actually seen anyone using a Multiplier one...

are there any advantages to using either?

    thanks

multiplier casts further when used correctly because it comes directly off the spool and does'nt rub contsantly on the spool

Cool thanks, some nice info there..

can you attach the multis in the same way as a fixed spool? ie can you use either on a standard beach rod?

    thanks again

you can use a multi on a standard rod but normally a multi uses different size rings , if you do start using a multi get one with magnetic control as its easier for a beginer
