Following from the other dead famous people threads, what famous people are you unsure about? Who do you think might be dead but you're not quite sure.

I can't remember whether Ronald Reagan is still around. Paul Daniels?
    Anyone else?

(Of course I'm aware that a quick google would tell you what you need to know but where's the fun in that).

I had got it into my head for a long time that Jeffrey Jones was dead. I had a little party when I realised my mistake.

Yes but only cos I asked him to. He pretended to be Ed Rooney and I was Ferris Bueller.

What about Gorbachev? Surely that bloke's gone. And Yelstin too? That bloke must have died from liver disease by now.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 10,921 ✭✭✭✭Pigman II

Then afterwards I was Ed Rooney and he was Ferris's sister.

Yeltsin returned to Ireland very recently for the first time since his notorious pissed up visit to Shannon Airport (and nowhere fcuking else) back years ago now. The official story was that he was under the weather. The rumour was that he was under the seat.

According to the story in one of the tabloids, he was at some Irish country castle cum hotel and had to be escorted out of the restaurent after slaughtering a bottle of Jameson down raw and getting a bit jolly :D Legend

Ronald Reagan is dead for sure.

I think we shouldnt be allowed to use Google for this, it ruins the fun.

    Richard Pryor died didnt he?

Or maybe im thinkin of your man from D12s line

    "Is Richard Pryor still alive?
If not im sicker than he was prior to him dyin...."

Ronnie was one of the walking dead as US President. He couldn't act either, so he took over the actor's union in preparation for becoming California's Governor and later President. They named a US aircraft carrier after him, and yes, he is no longer with us (although everyone still pays for his part in the cold war).

Is Joss Ackland still around? I can never remember. Same for a lot of actors around his age as well. Kenneth More? John Mills? Anthony Quayle?

Gorbachev's still around I think. Dunno bout Boris.

I thought Ernest Borgnine must be dead. He played the old guy in Airwolf, he was also in the films Convoy and the Dirty Dozen among many others.

But no, he's alive, apparently well and still acting a few months away from his 90th birthday. Now that I've made this post he'll probably go and drop dead though

McCartney died in the late 60s in a motorbike accident, they got a lookalike to live on his behalf rather than recruit a new potentially unpopular Beatle. Fcuk sake, look her up on Snopes!

They dropped a billion and one clues into their songs, the best of which being "Paul is the walrus" which is Greek for corpse.

Jaysus, id say replacement Paul is regretting his decision all those years ago.

Mind you, he was a nobody who, based on his resemblance to someone famous was allowed to lash it out of a blonde former model for 4 years, so fcuk him it could be worse.

Fungi the dolphin! that fish died years ago, the town council realising that without the dolphin tourists wouldn't come to a rain soaked piss hole on the edge of nowhere contacted steven spielberg and bought the mechanical shark from jaws. They modified the old tin can to look like the dolphin chucked it in the water and the town was saved. Until earlier this year when Fungi 2.0's program reverted back to killing mode and it went beserk butchering several boat loads of fat old american tourists believing them to be whales or possibly just fat old american tourists. The town council needing time to repair the machine and clean up the floating body parts chaned its name to An Daingean so no one would be able to find the town and their secret would be safe!

It's true i tell you all true!

According to imdb.com, Tom Lehrer was lecturing in California in 2004. Says nothing about his death anywhere so I think it's safe to assume he's still alive.
