I like the fact that the sudden explosion in membership has somewhat diluted the occurence of the same posters always popping up everywhere, defending their buddies and you could say "tagteaming" on other users.

It still happens, but less than it used to.

I like the fact that some users genuinely try to help others, or just be nice, no matter their post-count or their date of join.

I dislike that some older, more "popular" users and mods aren't held to the same rules everyone else is. There are long-established users, who do little else other than troll, and it is taken to be part of their "witty personality". Other users would be handed bans for similar behaviour.

I dislike how the soccer forum has come to be run. I won't go as far to blame anyone in particular, I would say the users (including myself) are as much at fault as the mods. It has become a parody of itself though. Common remarks, that while technically are insults, are fairly benign, result in a ban. Little or no leeway is given (unless its the aforementioned "known" users). No room for "common sense".

I miss some posters that used to post more often, but no longer do, or post less.

I miss the reputation system. Not for the amount of little green squares you had, but for the comments on your user cp. IMO it increased the sense of connection and community.

I miss being able to use tags in After Hours.

I like Boards for its decent people.

I dislike boards for its lick arses and its mods who rather than apologising for making a mistake will just pro long an argument forever with smart, and especially non-witty remarks.

I hate it when some members recieve valuable advice, but never offer thanks.

Well, actually, what you wrote was what I would call clearly in the bannable end of things. Maybe it was a joke, but it was also reinforcing a negative stereotype on people from Liverpool / Liverpool supporters.

Someone else was banned for calling someone a tosser recently, that was harsh in fairness. Common sense should prevail. Especially when the alledged actions of the player in question are what most people would consider to be those of a tosser (or worse).

He called liverpool fans dirty knackers or something like that. Out of order to be honest, joke or not. It also leads, and to the credit of the pool fans, not this time, to other posters rising to the bait and mayhem ensuing. Otherwise known as baiting.

The size of boards is both a drawback and a bonus, it's too big to get around most of the forums and it's maybe a bit to specific but at the same time you can find allot of people interested in a specific area, maybe the layout could be better.

The search is totally useless and brings down the usability of the board.

I sometimes also get frustrated by the abbreviations. And am gettin well sick of LMAO and ROFL.

I mean who has ever actually had their ass detatched from laughing too hard.
And while **** is funny I've found myself quite capable of remaining in my seat/standing position while laughing at something.

(yes - i am being cynical - no need to inform me that the abbreviations are based on sarcastic exaggerations.)
