You obviously hadn't had proper ingrown toenails! I dunno how mine could ever "grow out" besides coming out the wrong side of my foot (which would take a while!) - they start going all pussy, then the skin/flesh above it starts bulging out which invariably starts bleeding - sometimes i just feel it'd be better off just cutting off my toe alltogether.

My broken thumb and stiches in my head were nothing compared to ingrown toenails!

I've never ha anythign really bad, broke my arm when I was about 11, thats about it.

A friend of mine however had to go to the urologist to get a test for STD's. The doctor stuck a huge needle straight sown his japs eye - said the pain was unimmaginable, he's a grown man and he was crying. I never want to find out for myself...

played football 1 saturday afternoon and i wasnt feeling great... about half way through the second half a turned awkwardly and some how strained a stomach muscle! that night i started to get sick and tore the muscle! spent the next 2 days getting sick and everytime i got sick i nearly collapsed with the pain!

took about 6 weeks for it to heal enough that it didnt hurt any more! took another few weeks to heal completely! worst pain i've ever felt! horrible!

    Just remembered a few more.

Playing football on an all weather pitch. Was tripped and and couldn't get my hands down on time. So scraped the side of my face on the pebbles. That was sore.

Another time leaving a nightclub. Was giving a girl a piggyback. The road was sloped. Keeled over with no hands to stop my face bouncing of the ground. I got up and my nose was bleeding heavily. All I did was kept asking the girl was she okay. Of course she was. I broke her fall. Ended up in casualty and was lucky I didn't break my nose. I still think its a bit out of place.

got a bit of a couble wammie. Was getting Root Canal treatment done. Unfortunately by a student dentist over form England. Anyway, the anaesthetic wouldn't work after her third time administering so i just said it did and let her drill up through the root of my tooth (excrutiating). Following said drilling the root was filled by the aforementioned trainee dentist, but not properly, leaving a pocket of air which got infected. this resulted in an abcess, which didn't come to a head (literally) but instead spread the infection into my face. My face swoll up like a balloon and i spent the next couple of days being called "planet of the apes" by my sympathetic family!

Probably when a 1 1/2" staple went through my hand (plenty of lads I know end up doing it to themselves, but someone else done it to me!), only hurt for a second but it went right through my hand between two knuckle bones and missed the bones, for that I was glad. Toughest lad to go through casualty, they said when it was removed. :)

let see. i play hockey and ive sprained and fractured both of my thumbs, both of my big toes, and i have hundreds of astr turf burns across knees, elbows and especially knuckles.
ive been hit by a hockey ball in the dangly bits, in the head, in the... well, every part of my basically, over the years.
ive also broken my nose playing cricket, had whiplash from being in a car crash, and suffered from some serious sunburn in my time.
i have suffered heart ache and heart break.

but the worse, and i mean the worse pain that i have ever had in my entire life, the pain that has driven me around the twist and that has made me want to smash myhead against a wall until it stops, the pain that drives through your head until there is nothing else in there, has been when one of my teeth split right down the middle.

i think tooth ache is probably up there in the top 2 of worse pains in the entire world that you can possibly be afflicted with.
second only to listening to madonna songs.

I hear that WWM, I had a bad teeth based episode (and a sh*te dentist to really rub it in) and punching myself in the jaw actually eased the pain. And it looked quite amusing I would imagine as well.

Hmm...When I played basketball,I once jumped to make a shot and some huge girl jumped into me while I was in mid-air. So as I landed,I came down on the side of my foot, and then I slid and my foot sort of turned over so that the other side of it ended up on the ground (if ya get me!).

Anyway,a few ligaments were torn and I haven't played since.

    *May be disgusting

When I had an operation on my hip years ago, they had to attach me to a urine bag into me cos I'd be in the operating theatre for hours.. I had a tube coming out of my stomach - great.

Not only that tho, they had to stick a 'stopper' down me manhood, to make sure that no accidents occurred when I was in la la land. It was 2 days later when they had to pull that 'stopper'. I was fully awake, and my morphine levels were low.. it was like someone was trying to pull a football out of me poor lad. :(

    Pregnancy pain... pfffft

About three years ago i was in school and I placed my hand down on the frame of one of those spring-loaded double doors, on the side of the hinges without thinking. The door was open away from me, and it was one of the spring doors. It closed on my middle and ring fingers, and the nails were ripped clean out of the roots, and were just left hanging on at the tip of the finger.

The pain, needless to say, was immense. Ripping out finger nails is actually used as a method of torture in some places.

The finger nails still haven't grown back properly

When a storm drain cover fell on my left hand and shattered almost every bone in it.

    *Shudder*

I injured my left ankle when I was fourteen, in bootskates:rolleyes:
I dislocated the ankle and managed to tear every muscle in my lower leg. Needless to say, it hurt, Alot.
Ive had a tooth broken once, which is a pain like i had never experienced before. It hurt to breathe as the nerve was exposed. If dentists didnt exist at the time I reckon i would have killed myself the pain was that bad.
I have an inflammatory auto-immune condition also which brings alot of pain with it. Thank God for drugs. (not the bad kind.)

Sporty up until recently so: Broken most everything, sprained quite a bit too, dislocated shoulder regularly, torn ligaments, trapped nerve in thigh/groin frequently and done the childbirth thing twice. Took off quite a bit of skin in a biking accident (along with some of the breakages above) and had burns from: oil, sugar, wax.

Out of all of it the last one I want to revisit (labour would be a shock tho!:D ) is broken ribs - I'm really surprised this hasn't come up. All the other breakages are fairly swift if intense pain and not so bad afterwards. Unless you stop breathing, ribs just go on and on for weeks and sneezing nearly made me pass out. :(

woke up with a migraine once, tried to get up, couldn't move or see properly because of the pain.

once i got heartburn so badly i blacked out for a second and collapsed.

getting my feet tattooed was the worst ever though.

I have experienced a fair bit of pain myself. A kick in nuts is amongst the worst. However I get cramps too and holy mother of god, I swear nothing in this world is more painful.

I once got one on a Transatlantic flight in 2002 and I had to get to stand up in the Aisle and I was crying from the pain, A couple of people thought I was going to hijack the plane as I was mumbling like a stuck pig. Infairness to the Aer Lingus staff they were very sympathetic to me and it went away after about 10 mins. The worst cramp I got ever was last August 2005 at home and it lasted 45 mins, I was about to call an ambulance before it resided. Right in the middle of the thigh I always get them and they are one mother fupper.

Ingrown Toenails are my 2nd worst pain, I had an extremely bad one on my left big toe once but I went for surgery on it and they ripped out the Nail Roots, which left me with a normal nail, but it couldn’t grow down no more then.
