If the Mods change the title of this thread then the accusations Pighead has thrown at them will be considered proven and correct.

For years and years its been Pigheads dream to become a Mod. Fcuk wanting to become an astronaut or Meg Ryans plaything, it was all about the Modding for me. At school I became the Milk Monitor Boy and this position of power made me feel warm and tingly and never ever thirsty(The milk monitors were allowed to take the spare milk for themselves)

Pighead joined boards over a year ago and has kept his nose clean and shiny in that time. I realised pretty early on that the After Hours Mod job was the daddy of them all but it would probably be months before I was offered the job. 6 months passed and nothing, I decided to branch out and applied for the Mustard Biology and Football Manager Forum Mod positions. REJECTED every time. Anger followed but my psychologist told me to think happy thoughts and stay patient. So I thought of Beruthial and I fcuking for hours on a beach in St Lucia and felt better again

Lately Pigheads feigned an interest in gambling due to the word on the street that a gambling forum was in the pipeline. Last week the gambling forum was indeed started and some cnut called amz got the job.After I stopped crying I looked at the list of Mods employed by boards.ie and I couldn't believe what every person on the list had in common, THEY WERE ALL SPANNERS. (Except for Sarge, he was a Super Spanner)

Now Pigheads faced with a choice. Should I too become a spanner in order to get my dream job or should I continue to be the suave sophisticated sex beast and plough a lone furrow in the battle against all things spannerish.

I can't say that the Mods are spanners, as I've never witnessed their ability to loosen a tight nut, but keep on fighting the good fight Pighead!

Don't give in and be a spanner. Don't compromise yourself, your integrity and stay true to who you are. Becoming a spanner is the easy way out.

Tis clear to me that your assumption that you would rise to Moderator status is what is holding you back.....to be a Mod you need integrity, a willingness to help others and a humility. You must never seek out Moderatorship, it will call you one day and you must be willing to answer....

..... tis only AFTER you become a Mod that the battle with Spannerism comes into play!!!

All in all Pighead, stay fighting the good fight and surely you shall be rewarded some day!!!

As the person who suggested this forum it would be an honour to have Pighead as a mod there, I mean think about it: start a game of word association with the word manly and no doubt the second person will say pighead.

There has been odd mod activity of late in particular the locking of threads for no good reason.
On the whole however I think boards is run well pretty well although unquestionably the occasional nazi has slipped through the net and found himself immersed in power with diastrous circumstances.

Wait till the mods see this and suddenly it will be moved over to Feedback forum like my thread was, reason: well there is more people on the AH forum so better move over so they can cover up the amount of problems people have with them.

Something we used to hear alot of on here, think it was "Freedom of Speech", that has now changed "Freedom of Speech as long as the mod agrees with your opinion"
