It's actually quite easy because when you throw them up and get them anywhere near the line they'll wrap around it easy. We used to do it in our old school, rob somebody's shoes during PE and throw them around the ESB lines, ahh, good times!

Not as many of these around tallaght as there was in the early/mid 90s ... and its drugs for the record. Though obviously people copy it for a laugh or just when nicking people shoes.

I am looking for drugs so how does the sight of shoes on a line help?

If there were so many copy cats etc... what is the use?

Not one person has explained how this works yet just make statemnets saying it is for drugs.

When I was younger there were no shoes on lines where I got my dope. There were burnt out cars, boarded up houses and general filth.

I thought this emanated from Compton or similar, when a homey goes to the Projects in the Sky the other Gangstas through his shoes over a wire as a mark of respec' before pouring out a 40 oz in homage.

Obviously our knackbags think of themselves as being similarly Gangsta rather than being weasely drug addicts who listen to bad techno the whole fu cking time and thus indulge in the same practices. Except their homeys haven't been 'smoked' - they're doing 3 months for breaking and entering.

Jaysus now that you mention it, was walking out the road from Donabate, out towards the golf courses/beach, and I saw a pair of football boots on the ESB lines, how coincidental!..........
