What AirCon refigerant is used in Europe/Ireland ?

Are there garages that specialise in AirCon?

HFC-134a is the current gas (due to be phased out 2011-2017)

I recently got my aircon fixed in my camry, not 100% but I think the gas was called R134, I bought a replacement pump, my mechanic fitted it and he called out a guy to charge it, I think he had to relube it also. Cost 120 quid for the charging. If it's for your Mustang I saw a guy at Kilbeggan, he had a blue 72 mach 1 I think, well his car had refitted AC,and it didn't look like a simple job. There were pipes and tubes that were not there when the original AC was fitted, it looked very complicated, any thought I had of replacing my AC on the Mustang vanished.

If it was easy then everyone would do it

I have all the internal plumbing for the AC but I'm missing :

1) condensing coil, 2) expansion valve, 3) evaporator coil, 4) compressor
er...thats all I need :eek: well I have a compressor, but think I'll replace it, its original.

Put the parts in, connect em up and then get a guy to charge it, simple!

Then I'll be even cooler in the car :cool:
