My son has learnt a new game of open the CD/DVD drives on the machines. I recall there being a program or a way to lock the drive at a software level (disables the button).

Anyone know how to do this?

if your using windows, I think if you go in to "My Computer" and right click on the device, and go to the "Sharing an Security" option, there might be an option somwhere there to "always close" the device...

looks like there's a few of them out there, this one looks like it's free and has those little rascals in mind too ;) . Gets good ratings from people in a similar situation as yourself.

    Works great! :)

Strange seeing as it says Windows Win (All) in the system specs.

It may be just trial and error as there's a LOT of these type of programs out there.
