Can't see user's previous posts anymore?

Have read all the stickies and went back a month; so apologies if this was asked before. I tried to check users previous posts and I no longer have permission; but haven't tried this in ages. (I do think if this is systemwide and for server performance - it should be stickied) Then again maybe its just for me ? :eek:
