netgear wireless adsl modem .. forgot password

my girlfriends family have a netgear dg834gt wireless adsl bla bla bla modem and they have forgotten the password. i need access to the unit to configure some port forwarding etc. i know there is the reset button but is there any way to gain access to the unit with out knowing the password to change it.

nope, you need to reset the router to get in.
The default login is admin / password btw
