It's 26 degrees out. There's no shade. I'm typing this on a break from building some stupid wall that no one needs, and I'm not even getting paid that much for it.
Add to that the fact that I'm trying to quit smoking (haven't had one since yesterday at about 9pm), the water main split earlier so there's no water for the next few hours and I don't seem to have any clothes that aren't black/grey/dark.
This is officially my worst day ever.

So, what was your worst day ever?

didn't have 1 till i read your post!!!

how can you piss and moan about today.

count your lucky stars its gorgeous out.

you could be building a pointless wall, wearing black clothes, the day after you quit smoking IN PISSING, COLD RAIN WITH THE WIND BOWLING YOU OVER.

enjoy the sun while you and stop trying to bring the rest of us down!!

Yeah, it's my worst day ever so far.

Call me selfish, but I've always been of the opinion that if I have to suffer, so will everyone else. And tbh I never really liked the sun. I'd much prefer the rain.

The day I got a phone call from my Dad telling me that my mother was in hospital and was going to die and that I should come straight away was the worst day of my life.

Hot days hold no fear for me now.

I feel your pain Spike :p . The great weather is a blessing, no doubth about it, and a lot better than wind and rain, but its still a bitch to work in and annoying as hell.........or at least it is to me, I'd sooner be sitting in it than working in it :D

Actually, I've just figured out that everything sucks due to the lack of cigarettes. F*ck it, i'll quit again tomorrow, or just find a way to support my habit.
I'm off to get me daily fix.

it was either the day i had to work in 28 degree heat in a shop in carlow, with no air conditioning and people fainting from the heat, or the day my father died. i just can't decide.

    I hear you Emmo.

The day I found out my mother had committed suicide in the psychiatric ward of Tralee general hospital was the worst day of my life.

Hot days hold no fear for me now.

She didnt actually die, she pulled through in the end but it just puts everything into persepctive.

Untill then I would have let stupid things set me back but it pales into insignificance now.

Sorry to hear about your mam.

2 days ago, when I was sunburned, and I could not stop itching for the whole day!!! I was close to tears. Absolute worst experience ever (that I've experienced).

I'm sure it'll change in the near future, but as it stands, that was the most unpleasant endurance test of my life.

    Lucky you!

The day the cops rang on my front doorbell and told me my 18 year-old son had been knocked down was my worst day ever. But it could be worse, he's still alive (in a cabbage sort of way). I could be living in a rat-infested, earthquake-ridden hellhole where 26 qualifies as a cool day, I suppose.

Ive had that twice when I got badly burned. It is the worst thing in the world.

It itches so badly its like torture but when you try scratch it its even worse. There is no relief.

Well I started smoking again, so the day isn't that bad at all. God damn nicotine. The sun's quite nice though, and I found a white t-shirt. :D

Sorry for this thread btw, anyone who's gone through the quitting process will know what I'm on about.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 28,128 ✭✭✭✭Mossy Monk

    i found quitting a breeze.

i think it is all down to how much you actually want to quit*

    * my opinion

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,808 ✭✭✭Dooom

Yeah, I'm just quitting to have more money, but I don't 100% want to..
I think I'm vaguely related to some hypnotist lad, so I may see if I can get a free session off him.
