It's 26 degrees out. There's no shade. I'm typing this on a break from building some stupid wall that no one needs, and I'm not even getting paid that much for it.
Add to that the fact that I'm trying to quit smoking (haven't had one since yesterday at about 9pm), the water main split earlier so there's no water for the next few hours and I don't seem to have any clothes that aren't black/grey/dark.
This is officially my worst day ever.

So, what was your worst day ever?

count your lucky stars its gorgeous out.

you could be building a pointless wall, wearing black clothes, the day after you quit smoking IN PISSING, COLD RAIN WITH THE WIND BOWLING YOU OVER.

enjoy the sun while you and stop trying to bring the rest of us down!!

Yeah, it's my worst day ever so far.

Call me selfish, but I've always been of the opinion that if I have to suffer, so will everyone else. And tbh I never really liked the sun. I'd much prefer the rain.

The day I got a phone call from my Dad telling me that my mother was in hospital and was going to die and that I should come straight away was the worst day of my life.

Hot days hold no fear for me now.

I feel your pain Spike :p . The great weather is a blessing, no doubth about it, and a lot better than wind and rain, but its still a bitch to work in and annoying as hell.........or at least it is to me, I'd sooner be sitting in it than working in it :D

Actually, I've just figured out that everything sucks due to the lack of cigarettes. F*ck it, i'll quit again tomorrow, or just find a way to support my habit.
I'm off to get me daily fix.

it was either the day i had to work in 28 degree heat in a shop in carlow, with no air conditioning and people fainting from the heat, or the day my father died. i just can't decide.

She didnt actually die, she pulled through in the end but it just puts everything into persepctive.

Untill then I would have let stupid things set me back but it pales into insignificance now.

Sorry to hear about your mam.

2 days ago, when I was sunburned, and I could not stop itching for the whole day!!! I was close to tears. Absolute worst experience ever (that I've experienced).

I'm sure it'll change in the near future, but as it stands, that was the most unpleasant endurance test of my life.

    Lucky you!

The day the cops rang on my front doorbell and told me my 18 year-old son had been knocked down was my worst day ever. But it could be worse, he's still alive (in a cabbage sort of way). I could be living in a rat-infested, earthquake-ridden hellhole where 26 qualifies as a cool day, I suppose.

Well I started smoking again, so the day isn't that bad at all. God damn nicotine. The sun's quite nice though, and I found a white t-shirt. :D

Sorry for this thread btw, anyone who's gone through the quitting process will know what I'm on about.

    i found quitting a breeze.

i think it is all down to how much you actually want to quit*

    * my opinion

Yeah, I'm just quitting to have more money, but I don't 100% want to..

Nah, that was my worst day without cigarettes. I've had way worse ones with them. Lack of nicotine made me do this thread..

Regarding your worst day - ROFL :D, sorry, it's just so unlucky it's funny.

I guess one of my worse days with cigarettes would be:
Dislocated my shoulder, went to hospital etc and got it sorted.
On the way out, I managed to close the car door on my finger, and broke that. So back into hospital.
Eventually when I get home, I managed to drop a knife on my foot which lacerated it (try cooking with a broken finger..), and so back to hospital yet again.
It wasn't funny AT ALL at the time, but it's quite funny now.

    Ah. Good times.

I don't have any one day - definitely the days family members have died. Also, worst day or luckiest day, make your own mind up - falling out of a fast moving car at the age of 10, just missing a car going in the opposite direction and crashing into a parked car on the other side of the main road, surviving with only bruises and bad cuts.

Yesterday was my worst day ever. I climbed Mt. Brandon but didnt follow the normal path, as Ive been up there alot and decided to climb from a different angle this time. BIG MISTAKE!! ended up in a forest being eaten alive my midges falling into swamp every few feet in the sweltering heat, then getting to the most refreshing lake about 2000ft up and realising that one of our guys has gone off on his own, I cant get through to him and my other friend starts to drown in the lake because he got a bit of a shock at how cold the water was, so after helping him, we set off up a very very steep climb into the sun sweating and avoiding hostile sheep along the way. When I reached the top we could hear shouting far away so we thought that our friend who wandered off had fallen off a cliff or something, he was actually calling out to see where we were. he had blacked out from the heat and thats why he couldnt answer his phone, so instead of trying to make it to the top of the mountain and risk heat stroke and possible death we turned back, but found that we were still way off the path and has to climb down the slippery side of the mountain into the swampy crap again falling every few steps. At this point out muscles were completley crippled so we found it incredibly hard to not cry out in agony as we made our way down. At the bottom we waited to get collected in the heat still getting bit to death by midges so we said f**k this and decided to walk into cloghane village, which is about 2 miles from where we were and we nearly died from exaustion and heat......found out the pub AND the shop was closed so no drink/food/icecream/anything thats not dust and eventually got collected. :o

Its now the day after and I am completley destroyed phisically and mentally, I find myself thinking im constantly covered in midges and feeling them crawl all over me, I am also sunburned........so yeah yesterday was THE worst day of my 18 year life. Sorry this is so long but I felt the need to tell you the story in detail. :(
