McSavage - absolute and utter idiot. His 'comedy' consists of slagging passers-by in front of large crowds; which is pretty easy to do when you're the one holding the microphone... as well as nobhead routines where he holds up moronic signs. Yeah. Really funny. He's the Fran Cosgrove/Jade Goody of 'comedians'.

I've been zinged by McSavage once and have to say, despite this, I have a lot less animosity toward him than most on this board. Sometimes he crosses the line though.

Don't his "psychiatric issues" extend as far as being treated for depression or something similar? Hardly a raving loon.

Have to say the signs made me laugh. But I feel sorry for the guy. Unless this is for a show or something his career must be seriously flagging.

this is what he has always done, and some people dont like the repetition of theme.

sure loads of comedians are treated for depression. it has to do with the highs of performing and the comparitive lows of the rest of life, imo

Dave McSavage is actually David Andrews jnr, son of Fianna Fáil politician David Andrews, and his brother is the Fianna Fail politician Barry Andrews.

His is a tragic story. Not clever or devious enough to follow the family business in politics, he now shouts at random strangers in the street and demands money for same.

Highlights of his 'career' including being called by the Late Late Show, not once, but twice, to be the closing guest when the 'real' closing guest was too drunk/indifferent to appear on the show.

Many suggest that to call Dave McSavage a 'comedian' would be akin to calling the Romanian woman who sells the Big Issue outside Bewleys a 'publishing magnate'.

However, harsher critics suggest, given his family's Fianna Fail political background, that if his career in comedy doesn't work out, he could form a family musical act, with Dave jnr on guitar, and his Father and Brother on the fiddle.

Plus you have to wonder about the people that make these sites. Are they actuall concerned about the environment or just anti-mcdonalds for some reason or another (go cold food one day/had crappy service etc) becaus esurely if it was the former they'd be attacking the whole industry instead of just one company within it.

Anyhoo, Dave McSavage isnt funny. If he was he would'nt have to busk for money. When was the last ime you saw Tommy Tiernan annoying people in the street (not saying he's particularly funny, but he's a lot more sucesfull than McSavage)

well prior to the McLibel case you would get instances that you still see in some other places. They would wrap the burger in paper, put it into a box and the put that box into a bag. All of it trash and none of it recycled. McD using recycled paper for example was due in part to the McLibel case.
