    Heres a question,
We know in the new version of BSG that Starbuck is actually Lt. Kara Thrace.
What was Starbucks real name in the original or did he even have one?

When they were writing the new series, they changed several of the original characters names to pilots call signs, so chances are Starbuck was his name, as was Apollo.

I watched most of the original series on dvd recently (before dropping it for the new series) and never saw any mention of a different name. Good question though. :)

Yeah Starbuck was his real first name, his family name is mentioned in the episode where he meets a gambler who pretends to be his father. Can't remember it though. :(
