K750i camera repair

    I bought a new case on ebay and though it couldnt be very hard to replace the existing one, WRONG!!

    Managed to get the front cover done without too much hastle, but after ages trying and cursing, gave up on the back cover. When it was all back together (with nice new cover and dustless screen!) the bloomin camera won't come on :(

    I open the camera door and the light comes on but thats it.

    Anyone know how much my stupidity is likely to cost me to get fixed and where is likely to give me a fair quote ?, am based in dublin.

    not sure if Sony will back warantee , as i think they don't recommend changing cover .
    The Sony warantee is good though - 2 years.

    Never used mprc , but they service all mobiles, based in Sandyford ind. est.
    Heard they are reasonable.

    Gave them a ring, fecking 80 euros to fix camera but has to be done as going to flog it on ebay now that K800i is on the way :)

    If you are calling in to them why don't you ask them if they can change the cover for you...for €80 its the least that they can do!
    I have dealt with them before and infact do so o a regular basis. Had the same problem with the k750i and they sorted it no problem + phone was under warrenty so paid nothing

    Had similar problem with K750i, not sure what caused it but camera wouldn't come on. Got quoted a crazy price by Carphone Warehouse to get it sorted out.

    Probably not the best way of going about things, but I claimed it on the phone insurance, said I'd lost the phone, new K750i (with working camera) delivered to the door within 2 days.

    Obviously you'd need to have the phone insured to do that!!!
