Irish businesses and websites

I have noticed that if you ever try to look up an Irish website they are useless as a general rule. Things like lack of prices or even basic information. Is it just laziness or expense that prevents updated or accurate information?

I dont think a lot of businesses have copped how popular the web is becoming for sourcing products and services. And old school businesses may not be internet savvy and so once theyve done the deed and set up the site, they think thats it. It makes me smile how many sites you visit where its sorely out of date, and they even have a mention on the bottom 'last updated on 11/4/2000' or something. I mean why pay for the hosting at all?

Although, I really need to update our site...

It isn't just Irish Businesses though. Argos don't have an Irish site for example. A great example is http://www.greenmachines.cnolan.ie/aboutus/index.html

Not an old school business but a pathetic website that has faults. So much for the governments efforts to get Ireland ahead of the curve. Some internet based businesses from Ireland are so poor like the directory one. They never unpdate the directory so it is full of dead links and when you get to a working site they use templates.

My bad, they didn't have one a while ago or it looked like this

But Dixons does not exist anymore as they are all getting renamed as Currys.
