Changing Meteor Tariffs

    If you have just bought a Meteor phone on bill (just like me) and find that you want to downgrade to a cheaper tariff , because you dont use all the minutes you are given, Meteor will tell you that you have to wait for 6 bills or 6 months before you can downgrade. Well i had a run in with meteor today:mad: about this. It says on the terms and conditions that you can upgarde allright , but doesnt say anything about downgrading, which in other words isnt on the terms and conditions and can be done :D . so after a few apoligies i got downgraded and you can too if you want :eek:

    ask them and if they say no just give out to them and they should listen, it works for me on o2:D .
    also is there no carry forward minutes on meteor so you can use the minutes next month

    with Meteor there is no carry over of minutes or texts. What is the situation with the other operators?

    I think Vod and o2 allow you to carry over a maximum of 1 month's allocation.

    Pythia is right in what he says.

    Also with the 6 months before you can change tariffs - this is pretty standard. You've got a phone at a cheaper price based on the fact you're gonna pay €x per month for a certain time.

    Also watch out when you change your tariff - usually you're renewing your contract so it's back to 12 months again/
