Can't convert avi to a vob

My problem is that any program I use, such as "dvdsanta", "AVI DivX MPEG to DVD Converter and Burner", etc, to convert a golf video (.avi) to DVD format, the program's don't work, and I get a "do you want to send a report to Microsoft" message.

I compressed the video for storage a while back, and now want to put it on a DVD, but can't seem to, as the above message pops up when I try to :(

Any idea's, or other programs that I could use? Either free, or costing below €90?

    /edit
I'm using 64bit Windows XP Pro, if you're wondering. I had a probelm with Nero 7, but a reinstall fixed it. I've reinstalled the above applications, but to no effect. I think the probelm is related somehow, but don't know how.

I find VSO's DivX to Dvd does the job nicely for me http://www.vso-software.fr/download.htm

Yeah another vote for VSO's ConvertXToDVD software does its job very well.

Found out the problem, after some trial and error. It was the codec I was using. I was using K-Lite's Codec Pack, which was causing the problem. I uninstalled it, and slapped on Koepi's xvid codec. No problem thus far.
