Please help I need an expert opinion here.

I ordered my kitchen in solid walnut, it is being installed as we speak.
The kitchen manufacturer has his showrooms here in Ireland but imports some of his kitchens from Italy.

I have just stumbled across the Italian site and discovered that my kitchen is made from solid lime wodd painted a dark walnut colour and not solid walnut as I thought I was getting.

Would Lime painted be consideably cheaper than solid walnut?
    IS it a good product?

Have I been mis-sold my kitchen?

Any opinions gratefully accepted as I am in turmoil over this.

I LOVE walnut and like the appearance of this kitchen but I am paying 16K for something that I don't beleive I am getting.
    Have I been 'done' here?

Lime should be considerably cheaper than Walnut, but more importantly, the grain effect in lime is poor and once stained it would be very monotone, whereas in Walnut the grain is very distinctive and can have different shades from dark to light... sorry.
