Need to get a ride-on lawnmower and wondering if anyone could recommend a good place to get them?

I've already looked in B&Q and one or two smaller hardware shops, but there seems to be a wide variation in prices/models etc. I have to mow about 3/4 acre of grass and would need to be able to do it in damp conditions (unless you know where I can buy an umbrella with a 3/4 acre diameter  ).

    CHeers.

What horsepower are you looking for
    What size deck
    Mulcher?
    Manual or automatic transmission?
    Rear or side Discharge?

These are the 5 questiones you need to ask yourself before shopping around for a ride on mower..
Expect to pay at least 3-4k for a good machine though

thanks guys for the suggestions. Not sure about hp or deck size - What's a reasonable HP and deck size? I need a mulcher with manual trans and rear discharge.

We bought an "American Yard Products" one (badged as Rally, Wizard, Partner and Husquvarna to name a few) about 15 years ago for £800. Cant recommend anywhere in particular in dublin though, but Atkins (www.atkins.ie) in Cork are good to deal with.

Ours is a 10hp briggs and stratton petrol, side discharge, manual trans, nothing fancy. Apart from needing a new carb, and the deck getting rusty now, it goes perfect. It cuts about 1/2 acre of lawn without a bother, although it stuggles if you have left it a long time.

If I was buying another mower I think it would be another simple cheap unit. (EDIT: Although this looks alright value: http://atkins.ie/shop/product_info.php?cPath=246_62_173&products_id=451)
