I'm thinking about buy an internal Multi Card Reader for a 3.5" bay in my dell (5150) ? Those of you who got one - can you remember what kind of pin out you needed to connect it to the motherboard? Did you a sata connector or an internal usb2 connector?

Dell's pin out inside seems to be a 5x2 pin out - like below.

    This is the norm?

That should be a standard USB header type connector , typically they run , left to right , V+ D+ D- G on both rows , the fifth one on either row is usually not necessary and either has no connection or is grounded. Each row powers either one USB port or device and on card readers the slots are usually divided between the rows.

Thanks Andy I'll take a risk and order a multicard reader from Komplett.
