HP Designjet 90 problem

Ok here's the deal, I replaced the cartridges in the above printer and for some reason the Cyan cartridge still shows as empty on the display. I'vre replaced it with aother cartridge but still the same deal. Anyone with any tips greatly welcomed.

Just a thought, could it be that the printhead is spent on the Cyan ?

No, the printhead is showing as 'OK'. I cleaned it anyway, just in case but no joy. It's driving me potty. Might be a hardware issue in the printer itself maybe.
