Muay Thai is a style, K-1 is not. K-1 is a competition that consists of numerous stand-up styles. It doesn't allow the clinch time of muay thai, but other than that - a K-1 fight is very similar in rules to muay thai.

Oh ok. Does K1 allow the use of elbows?

k1 allows any stand up fighter to enter ie andy souer who won it lasy year was a shooto lad, some Kickboxers have some success as well that at the K1 max level (70kg)

K1 heavyweights used to be super and is now a joke cos of the fighters they have in it...

thai boxing is as pure as tropicana orange juice :) only thai fighters are allowed to fight in it

Alot of thai fighters fight in K1 and superleague on a regular basis

google k1 and superleague and you will get a better idea
