iAudio X5 resets when disconnected from PC

    Is it supposed to do this? Is there a setting to disable it by any chance?
    It is only a minor niggle but still :)

    Yes, it's supposed to do that.

    As far as I'm aware, it needs to restart to it can scan the hard drive to see if you've made any changes (like putting on more audio/video files or putting on a firmware update).

    And no, I don't think there's an option to disable that - which is probably a GOOD THING.

    I checked this question out on Iaudiophile and it seems there is no way to disable this as it needs to rescan the disc if you have transferred any data to or from the unit.

    Its a bit of a pain but whenever I know I am going to connect my X5 to my PC I bookmark the last track I was listening to....I can then resume without fannying around :D
