It's listed on the UK site but not here. It's pricey.

That's very tempting. If I get it via the employee purchase program it's only €283. Hmm, it's only 3 weeks since I bought a laptop. Tempting nevertheless!

can this unit receive email via bluetooth from your phone or do you have to be in a Wi Fi area?

Don't tbh Tony. I can't really see how unless ther is an app you can get for your phone to forward your emails via BT to the PDA.

I've often wondered about the employee purchase program. Has anyone purchased through it successfully? Do they ever ring up to check?
I have a normal account with Dell and regularly buy laptops from them. Will they cop the same CC number and delivery address?

You actually should be able to set your phone up as a "modem" and access all the data from the PDA over BT. I used to do it with a Palm, an old Nokia phone over infrared, so this shouldn't be much harder to setup.

Kazzer, Thanks for the tip. Just bought myself one :D

I wonder how long it takes to deliver. Anybody know?

I've used the epp, but as I work for a Dell customer I'm officially eligible. Never got checked on but I always get stuff delivered to work so no need for them to check on me.

TBH I'm not expert but its my understanding that a bluetooth GPS works with PDA's, i've seen the dell unit sold as a package with a Tom TOm bluetooth GPS unit and there are also some on the site I came across http://www.carwatch.ie/productsInCategory.asp?intCatalogId=52&strCatalog_NAME=GPS%20Devices%20for%20Navigation

I recently installed an Ique 3600, great GPS unit but does not have wireless connectivity so if I had the choice again I'd go with the dell unit.
