Joining movie clips taken with digital camera

Guys,

I've taken quite a bit of footage (mostly at concerts) using my Canon S70 but need some way of joining the movie clips together to make a continuous film. The video clips are saved as MVI files.

Has anyone done this before or can recommend an appropriate and simple software?

Any advice is appreciated.

Windows movie maker. You should have it if you got a PC recently enough. Pretty sure Mac's have something similar.

Windows movie maker is on my PC; it came with Microsoft SP2. I hadn't even realised:)

It's real easy to use, and there's all the fun fades and wipes to do as well.
Some of the movies I've made using it are linked on the Films board

If you want want lots of control then you could try Adobe Premiere ... but it aint cheap ...

Movie Maker for teh w1n!

Its really easy and should do everything you want. It is the MS Paint of video editing but it does what it says on the tin. I've used it a lot, pm me if you have any problems.

That's very sound of you DeVore, thanks.

I've given it a quick whirl earlier - great job that it imports clips as mine are recorded as .avi

Once I know what I'm doing I'll put the videos up somewhere. The quality is 'atmospheric' at best but are ok if you like good gigs!
